Our Summer 2022 tour continues this Saturday, August 6th at Edmonton Folk Festival in Edmonton, Alberta. It’s been such a joy to play for you again after nearly three years away. Stay tuned for much more and thank you so much for your support. “Weird Goodbyes” also features the London Contemporary Orchestra and is one of several new songs we’ve been playing this summer that may be part of our new album we are close to finishing - more about that soon! We’re grateful he was moved and sang so powerfully with Matt.
We heard Justin’s voice and heart in this song from the beginning and so we sent it to him. The song is built around a beat that got stuck in our heads. It’s about letting go of the past and moving on, then being overwhelmed by second thoughts - mourning a loss of innocence and motivation and the grief we all suffer in weird goodbyes. “Weird Goodbyes,” featuring our friend Bon Iver, is the first song we are releasing from a new record we’ve been working on the last few years.
